goodafternoon, my dear friends:

today is women’s day. so first i wishall of you “happy women’s day”.

i’m from junior school , and istand here as a deputy for grade 1, i value this chance of sharingteaching experience with my respected teachers. as a teacher, ilove my job, i love those dear children. and i also enjoy thewonderful feeling of to be loved. i have to say : to be a teacheris my pleasure.

now let’s come to the point. i’m going to talk aboutcommunicative approach and english grammar instructions

many teachers say that they usecommunicative approach in languge teaching, what is communicativeteaching approach about? communicative approach believes thatlanguage is not merely knowledge and skill, but also a kind ofsocial stipulations of agreement, and learning and using a languageis actually a psychological process. language learners are requiredto obtain the ability to know when, where, how and to what kind ofpeople he should talk and the ability to know when he should andwhen he should not say certain things.

although the grammar methodcannot develop students’ communicative ability well, we thinkgrammar is still very important in language learning. why? withoutthe knowledge of grammar, the use of the language in communicationis impossible. for example: would you like to come to my birthdayparty? if you do not know the structure, could you use thestructure to express the function of invitation? skills are alsoimportant. and functions, too.

as you know i teach in primaryschool, the students are too young. they don’t know the grammar. soin class i usually create the real communication and then i wouldgive some grammar instructions in time.

when i teach numbers, i showsome cards to make students know about the numbers and then idesign some games to make students communicate with the numbers,such as i make students use their fingers to show the numbers, ilead students to clap the numbers, i encourage students to say thenumbers, i show some shool things to count the numbers? and helpthem to finish the task. all of these go around communicativeapproach, and another task is to make students find the rules aboutplural nouns and help them conclude the rules. so this is myunderstanding for communication approach and grammarinstructions.

before i finishing my speech, i would like to say: to be anenglish teacher is the best choice in my life. i shall do all i canto be a good teacher!
